In every organization we need to prepare different types of report . Report is a written documents describing the findings of some individual or groups.To prepare a report we usually use direct and indirect strategy.We use direct strategy when nothing is needed and we use indirect strategy when if an investment of some kind is required. There are also different types of report connected to strategy they are; informative (direct) , persuasive (indirect) and analytical (direct/indirect).
Report should be effective and should include more details and explanation so, that unknown audience may understand the purpose of reports easily. Inorder to prepare a report clearly and concisely we have to organize arguments and benefits, organize task plan information and write goals and objectives clearly and specifically.
There are two types of components of reports and design strategy they are; executive summary and sample executive summary.In executive summary typical sources of keypoints in a report are; headings, topic sentences, enumerations, cause and effect statements and essentials.Where as in sample executive summary they are; introduction, background, goal and objectives, solutions and recommendations and conclusion.
The purpose of this chapter is to demonstrate how to write strategies for report and proposals and uses of direct and indirect strategies in formal and informal reports.
